A wholly black woman owned and controlled, accredited training and development provider helping South Africans build skills, careers and compliant businesses.
Our founder, Lungile Shandu, started selling sweets in primary school and grew up in a home where entrepreneurship was part of everyday life. After completing her studies in business education and accounting, she battled to find employment, so she created her own work.
She saw that young people in rural communities needed computer skills, but access to technology and training was limited and many could not afford to travel to the cities. EGSIBIT started in 2004 with computer and IT training, and has grown into a QCTO-aligned provider of qualifications, coaching and business solutions.
The early years shaped how we work today: practical, mobile and focused on the people we serve.
With limited equipment and resources, we borrowed and hired computers to deliver our first short training programmes.
With no permanent venue, we became a mobile training company, travelling from site to site with our equipment.
We secured a training site in Zululand, obtained our MICT SETA accreditation and grew to 20 desktop computers of our own.
To empower through training, and to grow in different integrated business systems and solutions.
To advance our service offerings through customised, matchless skills that mirror industry specifications.

I went into business because I could not find a job. Young people in rural communities needed computer skills, so I saw a need and decided to respond. We started with borrowed computers and short programmes, and grew into an accredited, award-winning provider. Your starting point does not determine your destination.
